MTEC Foundation Awards Funding to Two Projects at ETH Zurich’s Mobiliar Lab for Analytics

We are proud to announce that the MTEC Foundation has awarded funding to two standout projects within Mobiliar Lab for Analytics at ETH Zurich (Chair of Technology Marketing). 🏆

These grants highlight D-MTEC’s mission to ensure technology serves human well-being and autonomy:

  • Human Empowerment in AI: Dr. Joseph Ollier, alongside Tobias Hoesli (ETH Zürich) and Felix Feig (University of St.Gallen, investigates how human cognition and agentic system architectures jointly shape decision-making. Their goal? To ensure AI remains a tool for human empowerment rather than a source of manipulation as we move toward Agentic AI.
  • Immersive Mental Health: Melanie Baumgartner, in collaboration with Dr. Bigna Lenggenhager (University of Zurich), is using VR to map bodily sensations. This project transforms vague feelings into data-driven insights to improve emotional regulation.

Congratulations to the awardees and a special thanks to Professor Florian Wangenheim for leading a hub where technical innovation meets real-world societal impact. 👏
